Founded in 2016 as Stokhos, TimeLab originated as a visionary spin-out from the Dutch National Mathematics Research Institute (CWI). Our inception was driven by the ambition to evolve and commercialize the pioneering research of CWI's Stochastics group, specifically their work on algorithms designed to tackle the preparedness and responsiveness challenges faced by emergency services.
Initially, our focus was on the enhancement of fleet positioning strategies through our Dynamic Ambulance Management (DAM) solution, aiming to revolutionize how emergency fleets are deployed.

In 2023, we embraced a broader mission: to become a frontrunner in crafting scientifically robust operational decision support solutions. This ambition materialized with the launch of SECONDS, our flagship product, the most advanced and comprehensive dispatch solution. By merging assessments of near-future states and domain-specific knowledge into AI-driven systems, SECONDS stands as a demonstration to our capability to navigate the complexities of systems.
This new approach to the dispatch challenges also incited a pivotal transformation in our brand identity. Moving beyond our stochastic origins, we adopted the new name TimeLab, marking a new chapter in our quest to redefine operational efficiency.

Based in Amsterdam, TimeLab maintains a strong alliance with CWI, continuing our journey at the intersection of mathematical excellence and practical innovation.
